You need to take 30 credits a year to graduate in four years.

Winter session helps you stay on track to graduate on time, especially if you can't take 15 credits during the fall and spring semesters.  Most winter session courses meet degree requirements or are general education (GEP) courses required for all majors.

Registration begins October 19. Registration clearance is not required for winter session. Advising is recommended, but not required.

Use myUMBC to register for up to 4.5 credits.  If you would like to take more than 4.5 credits, submit an Excess Credit Permission Form to the Office of Academic and Professional Advising for review. Please allow at least 2 weeks for your request to be processed.

Be sure to review the academic and financial dates and deadlines for winter session.
